Illegal Content

Child sexual abuse material or any content sexualizing minors is reported to the authorities without notice. Content that incites violence, terrorism or hatred is also prohibited.

1. Purpose and Scope

1.1 This policy sets out what you may and may not do with services provided by HosterSol (“we”, “us”). It applies to all customers, resellers, end users and anyone you allow to use your services.

1.2 It forms part of our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the Terms of Service apply.

1.3 This policy isn't exhaustive. We may act against conduct that harms our network, our customers or others even if it isn't listed here.

2. Your Responsibilities

2.1 You are responsible for everything done through your account, including content uploaded by your users and actions by anyone you give access to.

2.2 Keep your software, scripts, plugins and passwords secure and updated. A compromised site that sends spam or serves malware is a breach of this policy.

2.3 Make sure you own, or have permission to use, all content you host.

2.4 Follow the laws that apply to you and your users.

3. Prohibited Content

You must not host, store, publish, link to or distribute:

  • Child sexual abuse material or any content sexualizing minors. This is reported to the relevant authorities without notice.
  • Content that incites violence, terrorism or hatred against people or groups.
  • Malware, ransomware, spyware, keyloggers, botnet controllers or exploit kits.
  • Phishing pages, scam sites or sites impersonating others to deceive.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.
  • Stolen, harvested or illegally obtained data, including lists of email addresses collected without permission.
  • Content that is defamatory, harassing or invades privacy.
  • Anything that facilitates illegal activity, including illegal gambling, counterfeit goods or the sale of prohibited items.
  • Adult content where it is unlawful in your jurisdiction or ours.

4. Prohibited Activities

You must not use our services to:

  • Attack, probe, scan or attempt unauthorized access to any system, including penetration testing without permission.
  • Launch or host denial-of-service tools, booter or stresser services.
  • Run open proxies, open mail relays or anonymizing services that enable abuse.
  • Mine cryptocurrency, unless your plan expressly allows it.
  • Interfere with other customers' services or our network.
  • Evade resource limits, billing controls, suspension or monitoring.
  • Resell or share services without our written agreement or a suitable reseller plan.

5.1 We have a zero-tolerance policy on unsolicited bulk or commercial email.

5.2 You must not send spam from our network, or advertise a site hosted with us through spam (“spamvertising”).

5.3 Marketing email must be sent only to people who have opted in, and must include a working way to unsubscribe, honoured promptly.

5.4 You must not buy, rent or harvest email lists.

5.5 You must keep bounce and complaint rates within reasonable limits. We may apply sending limits or suspend outbound email if complaints put our IP reputation at risk.

6. Security and Network Abuse

6.1 Don't forge headers, spoof IP addresses or falsify identity.

6.2 Don't distribute or use tools designed to break security or bypass protections.

6.3 Report security vulnerabilities you find in our services to abuse@hostersol.com rather than exploiting them.

6.4 We may suspend a service immediately when malware, spam or an attack is detected.

7. Resource Usage and Fair Use

7.1 Shared and similar services share resources among many customers. You must not use resources in a way that degrades others' service.

Web, Cloud and Agency Hosting

For running websites and their related email and databases. No file distribution, public file storage, or persistent background processes unless your plan allows them.

7.2 Hosting isn't a backup or storage service. Don't use it as off-site storage for files unrelated to your website.

7.3 If you exceed fair use, we'll contact you where we can and ask you to fix it, or to move to a more suitable plan. We may limit or suspend a service that is harming others.

9. Reporting Abuse

9.1 Report abuse to abuse@hostersol.com with as much evidence as possible.

What to include in your report

  • URLs of the material
  • Full email headers, where relevant
  • Logs, dates and times
  • Screenshots or other evidence

Abuse email: abuse@hostersol.com

9.2 We review reports in good faith but can't promise a specific outcome or timeline.

10.4 Suspension for breach doesn't suspend your obligation to pay.

11. Reinstatement

If a service was suspended, Contact Support. Once the issue is resolved and we are satisfied it won't recur, we may restore it. Substantial clean-up work may be charged where agreed with you.

12. Cooperating with Authorities

We may disclose information about your account to law enforcement or regulators where required by law or needed to protect rights and safety. See our Privacy Policy.

13. Liability

We aren't responsible for losses resulting from action we take in good faith under this policy. Our liability is governed by our Terms of Service.
